GEORGIA MAY JAGGER
might be the face of many a fashion and beauty brand right now but when it
comes to catwalk modelling, it's a slightly different kettle of fish.
"Even though I've
been modelling for a while now, this is my first season of fashion shows and I
think people don't expect me to be nervous," said Jagger this month at the
Hudson #letyourselfgo spring/summer 2013 campaign launch in Milan (she's been
the face of the brand for the past four years). "But for me doing shows is
quite scary. There's a lot to take in and you have to appreciate where you are
on the catwalk. You have a moment when you see yourself outside of your
body."
This season, the
21-year-old walked in, and closed, the Just Cavalli show - as
the new face of the brand's fragrance. So how does she go about combatting
those nerves?
"Just
breathe," she said. "I get really worked up and it's hard to relax as
it's stressful beforehand but also very exciting."
"Left, right, left,
right," she laughed. "I try not to crack up - it's really hard trying
to keep a straight face, but I want to do more shows. All of the big ones, like
Paris."
And her tip for when it
comes to catwalking?
"Score your own
shoes - so many slippery floors, newly waxed, and slippery shoes," she
said.
Meanwhile, off the
catwalk she's happily enjoying photography, but to clarify, just as a hobby:
"I'm not going to do any big exciting exhibition any time soon."
