THE Rolling Stones will headline Glastonbury
2013, it has been confirmed. This marks the first time that the legendary band
has played at the Somerset festival.
The famous foursome - who reunited last year to celebrate
the group's 50th anniversary - will perform on Saturday June
29 on the Pyramid Stage, the event's penultimate night. Other headlining acts
include Mumford & Sons, the Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg, Elvis Costello and
Vampire Weekend.
"We all had such a ball last year, and the energy
between the band is so good," said guitarist Keith Richards. "We
can't wait to play Glastonbury, see you on a summer's day in England!"
