How Coach Got Its Groove Back

When you think of Coach, a brand that is known for their luxury accessories, you tend to go right to the idea of a logo. For a while, that’s what it was, until now. WWD is reporting that the accessories giant will be turning the label into a global lifestyle brand. Don’t worry though, they won’t be straying away from what they’re good at — handbags and accessories. Reed Krakoff, Executive Creative Director, said of the new lifestyle path “Instead of designing accessories to fill a need, we’re thinking more about the woman, who she is, where she goes, what is her life like and how does it feel…
This isn’t just for the ladies anymore, which is vital to the brands new image. What used to be a small accessories collection, has expanded into a massive line of wallets, holdalls, accessories and other apparel for men. We’re most excited to see what the brand does with their men’s collection and what they’ve done so far. We got our hands on the Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook and we’re beyond obsessed with everything happening. The braided belts, bright holdalls, color-blocked cardholders and other accessories have us moving money around to see what we can pick up. You’re able to shop the jackets in-store and online now, with other products hitting stores in March.
Don’t worry ladies, you’re in luck too. We had the lovely opportunity to preview the women’s pre-fall collection the other day and there is some serious accessories gold coming your way. We’re talking new colors, silhouettes and no monogram. You’ll also see a heavy shoe and apparel push coming your way — to really show everyone that Coach is a global lifestyle brand and that it’s not going anywhere.
