Macy’s Teams Up With Milk Made for Capsule Collection


In a bizarre world, this collaboration wouldn’t even make us bat an eyelash. However, Macy’s teaming up with an initiative such as Made Fashion Week has us asking a few questions. For one, Made shows some of the edgiest designers during New York Fashion Week and fashion weeks worldwide. We’re all well aware that the Macy’s customer is far from edgy and tends to play it safe.

Tim Baxter, of Macy’s, said of the collection “This is an organic collaboration between the creative teams from Made and our merchants to bring relevant, of-the-moment fashion to Macy’s. It’s a collection of must-have items, inspired by street fashion and what the most fashionable people in the world are wearing.” Ain’t that the truth! The most fashionable are usually seen sitting front row at Made shows and far away from Lincoln Center. The Made Fashion Week for Impulse line will hit stores March 12th at only 150 Macy’s stores. According to WWD the plan is to make the collection ongoing, and to add to it on a monthly basis.

The collection will feature between 20 to 30 items and will range in prices from $39 to $139. We won’t be surprised if the social media world gets behind this quickly, Milk Studios and Made know their social.
