Continuing his collaboration with Daniel
Buren, Marc Jacobs has invited the French conceptual artist to design the Louis
Vuitton windows for Spring/Summer 2013.
For his Spring/Summer 2013 show, Louis Vuitton creative
director Marc Jacobs was inspired by the work of Daniel
Buren, the artist behind the black and white striped columns
in the Palais Royal gardens in Paris. It's a creative collaboration that
continues, with the Spring/Summer 2013 windows for Louis Vuitton, on the request of Marc Jacobs,
with mesmerizing optical illusions that play with perspectives in yellow,
white, chocolate brown, green, red and grey stripes and checks. The first
windows conceived by the artist were revealed on February 4 on 5th Avenue in
New York City and Avenue Montaigne in Paris, and beginning in March, the new Louis
Vuitton displays will reveal worldwide.
